Child therapy is generally not an easy topic for parents to discuss. Nobody wants their child to need therapy, but unfortunately, there are many difficult and even traumatic issues that children may encounter that a qualified professional can help them deal with.

 

Many children  have problems that affect how they feel, act, or learn. Therapy is a  way to get help for your child. In therapy, kids talk and learn how to work out their problems. Going to therapy helps them cope better, communicate better, and do better. 

 

The therapist will discuss your concerns and help you both develop the skill to use at home and away from therapy to get them back on track.

 

What is your typical process for working with a new clients?

Once you let us know you would like to start services. You will receive a call to set an appointment date and time. After that call you will receive a welcome email with the initial paperwork and my phone number in case you need to reschedule prior to the appointment. Next, show up for your appointment with the initial paperwork and a photo id and insurance card if you are using insurance. The initial session is to gather some history about you and delve a bit deeper into what it is you would like to work on in therapy. At the end of the first session you can schedule the next session or determine if you would like to make it a weekly/bi-weekly or monthly recurring session. 

 

Insurance co-pay or session charge is usually collected at the end of the session.
