Nicole Kioussis-Willoughby Center Nicole Kioussis, LCPC

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counseling (LCPC) in the State of Illinois. I completed my Master's Degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. For the past ten years I’ve been working in a variety of roles in a non-profit, social services agency, providing guidance and support to individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma history, mood disorders, etc. I have facilitated groups based on mindfulness, decision making, grief processing, communication, and relationship building.

My focus in on building a trusting, collaborative relationship with my clients that will lead to growth and positive change. I appreciate the effort and courage it can often take to seek help, and I provide a compassionate and comfortable space for individuals to develop and improve their lives. My goals as a counselor is to help you gain self-awareness so that healing can take place and you can find balance and joy in your life. My theoretical approach to counseling is a combination of cognitive behavioral and person-centered, though flexible to meet the needs of my clients. With this approach I believe a sense of balance and well-being can be achieved.
