Park Ridge is our first home. This was where we opened the first location for so many reasons. The surrounding communites make up the homes to many wonderful business and cultures. Cindi-Marie Willoughby-Clinical Psychologist Dr. Cindi-Marie Willoughby, Psy.D, CDP

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified Dementia practitioner in the State of Illinois.  I completed my Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2010.  I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health centers in Skokie, Chicago, and Joliet, as well as a residential substance abuse / dependency facility in Chicago.  I have extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.  A significant focus for clinical skills has been treating clients with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-spectrum disorders, crisis intervention, substance abuse / dependency, relationship issues, and schizophrenia.  I have facilitated groups on effective communication, coping skills, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with adult populations.  I utilize empirically supported therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  My approach to therapy is focused on values, workability, and collaboration with my clients as I often incorporate mindfulness and flexibility to help clients achieve their goals.  I am also proficient in psychological testing for children, adolescents and adults. I am currently a member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.

Dr. Keisha Downey, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. I have been working in the field of mental health for the last 12 years. I have experience with diverse populations, in various settings to include, community outpatient, group home, schools, and private practice. My experience includes helping my clients properly cope with severe life challenges that stem from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family issues, trauma, substance abuse, parent-child relationships, crisis intervention, just to name a few. My experience also extends to facilitating women, parenting, adolescent, and drug groups on utilizing effective communication and coping skills. My style of therapy is shaped from my education, self awareness, and life experiences…all which have allowed me the opportunity to work with various people of different cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, lifestyles, and ethnicities. I take time with my clients focusing on the psychosocial and biological aspects of their lives to formulate the best therapy approach to help them reach their goals. I provide an accepting and non-judgmental environment so that my clients can express their inner thoughts regardless of what those inner thoughts may be. I am currently a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a contributor to a New York health and training facility for individuals and couples, and also an expert panelist for couples events and mental health discussions in Los Angeles, Chicago, and surrounding areas. I am also a Resident Counselor on VH1's television series, "Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn".

Sara Marx- Willoughby Center Sara Marx, LCPC

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

In my years of practice, I worked with populations from children to senior citizens, and in a multitude of settings, including emergency shelters, community clinics, schools, and inpatient. I have experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, anger issues, PTSD, physical and sexual abuse, and disruptive behaviors. I have worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, substance abuse, grief, life transitions, employment concerns, relationship issues, and stress management. I have a special interest in caregivers and individuals suffering with chronic illnesses.

My counseling style is open and collaborative, and I work to establish rapport with my clients. I am an Adlerian by training but utilize an integrative approach to deliver a unique treatment plan for every client. I am non-judgmental, but I will challenge you to help with your growth and resiliency.

Carlette Scott-Willoughby Center Carlette Scott, MA, LCPC

I have worked on behalf of children and families for more than 23 years.  I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois, and received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chicago State University.  I have vast experience providing individual, group, and family counseling, as well as marital counseling, working with children, adolescents, and adults.  I have addressed such clinical issues as, depression, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, ADHD, child physical and sexual abuse, self-harming behaviors, parent/child relational issues, domestic violence, abuse and neglect of adults with disabilities and the elderly, human trafficking, and other clinical issues.  I am a Licensed Child Welfare Specialist in Illinois, certified in Reality Therapy, and formally trained in Attachment, Regulation and Self-Competency, (ARC), an evidenced-based, comprehensive framework for working with traumatized children and youth.  I am also certified in domestic violence and sexual assault, and has also been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and numerous other clinical trainings.  My ultimate goal as a practitioner is to help you as an individual improve your life through enhanced insight, better self-refection, and the awareness of their power to create a healthier space for yourself.
